Why Bugzilla Backporter?

The Bugzilla Backporter allows the user to easily understand how different clones are related to each other and which release they are targeted for. It also allows the user to create clones targeting a specific release.

How to find clones?

Enter the BugID for the bug whose clones need to be found in the input field on the top right corner and click "Find Clones". This would present the user with a list of all the clones of that bug with the relevant release and associated PRs. The highlighted bug is the bug which is being searched for.

How to create a clone?

Select the target release from the dropdown and click the "Create Clone" button which can be found after the clones table. If clone creation is successful you will be shown a success banner at the top of the page otherwise you will be redirected to an error page. Please note - Do not refresh the page once the clone has been created since this would cause another clone to be created.

Getting the latest changes

If there are changes which have been made to the clones relationships, it will take upto 10 minutes for the changes to be reflected in the backporter tool. To force a refresh of the cache for those bug IDs - refresh the page twice.
